Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books.
I'm taking an eCourse in Modern Poetry through the University of Pennsylvania. One of our assignments is to write a mesostic, a postmodern poetic form, invented by John Cage or do one of Bernadette Mayer's writing experiments.
This is my first attempt of writing mesostic.
Mesostic poem adapted from The New Spirit, one of the poems in Three Poems by John Ashbery

Oh wow! That's pretty cool. What a wonderful way to write a poem.
That's lovely. I like it. Here's Mine
How clever of you to combine the pretty photo with your poem... I really like those strelitzias.
I haven't heard of that form of poetry before, but I like it - especially paired with the photo!
There is much to think about in this poem ... the poetic form is much harder than it looks, I think. Well done, Edgar!
I am not familia with that poetry, but it really works with your picture! Thanks for sharing, thanks for the well wishes everyone!
