The earth does not argue,
Is not pathetic, has no arrangements,
Does not scream, haste, persuade,
threaten, promise,
Makes no discriminations, has no
conceivable failures,
Closes nothing, refuses nothing,
shuts nothing out.

Amazing shot. Our planet is full of wonder, isn't it?!
I love desert scenery like that - very pretty.
Great photo with the vastness of the land and the close up of father and child. Here's My Saturday Snapshot
Wow, that sounds a lot like the definition of love from Corinthians. I like it, and I've not read enough of Walt Whitman.
Trish-The place is in the Arches National Park, Utah. We need only to wander to see the wonders and not necessarily to travel in faraway places.
Alyce-I also love that scenery. It reminds me of Newton wondering about the vastness of the universe in front of him.
Paulita-Yes. The father guides and shows his son the beauty in front of them.
Bellezza-Yes. It almost sounds like the "love" in Corinthians.
It's like a Romantic painting, man (or child) dwarfed by the magnificence of nature!
I've never thought about the earth being like that. So true. The earth just is. It's us that puts all the expectation on it. Wonderful picture of the red starkness of the desert.
about last weekend-the place is in the Arches National Park in Utah, near Moab.
This is the next place we must take the children. As you say the wonders are all here for us - actually only an hour and half away. Welcome back from your travels!
